The ideal candidate will be working with the leading charge in clean air technology, dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and managing cutting-edge solutions that combat air pollutants and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. For over three decades, we’ve been the driving force behind selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and CO2 adsorbers, the core components of emissions control and CO2 capture systems.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop material formulations for new and existing products, ensuring desired chemical and physical properties.
- Create and optimize processes for both new and existing products, focusing on achieving the best functionalization and application performance.
- Design and fabricate novel hardware and equipment for innovative products and processes.
- Lead projects related to pioneering new products, processes, and equipment.
- Direct the transition from the development phase into full-scale production for groundbreaking processes and products.
- Establish testing and documentation protocols for cutting-edge characterization methods in materials processing.
- Provide training and mentorship to development technicians on newly developed testing methodologies.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic, Chemical, Materials, or Polymer Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product and process development.
- At least 3 years of experience leading technical projects in a Project Management role.
- Strong grasp of science and engineering fundamentals.
- Self-motivated with a determination to achieve goals.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Knowledge of statistics, DOE (design of experiment) methods, scientific principles, statistical procedures, and multivariable correlations.
- Familiarity with MS Project.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
What Knowledge and Skills We Prefer:
- An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Ceramic, Chemical, Materials, or Polymer Engineering.
- Formal Project Management training or certification.
- Experience with statistical software like Minitab or equivalent.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
The Working Conditions:
- Mechanical noise.
- The work environment may include dust and dirt due to materials and raw materials.
- Fluctuating temperatures from warm to cool.
- Office-based work involves sitting at a desk and using a computer.
- Exposure to chemicals.
The Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of sitting and computer work.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional standing for extended periods.
- Physical activities such as walking, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting, climbing, and kneeling.
