Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join a leading U.S.-based engineering firm recognized for its innovative automation and process solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems, and proven experience leading automation projects across diverse industries.

This position requires both technical depth and leadership ability. The Senior Controls Engineer will manage project execution, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate directly with clients to deliver cutting-edge automation systems.


Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automation systems using PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms.
Lead project teams through the full lifecycle of control system development—from requirements to commissioning.
Develop and maintain control system documentation, electrical schematics, and system architectures.
Program and integrate industrial control systems using Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, and Emerson DeltaV.
Apply standard programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, VBA, .NET, and SQL.
Oversee industrial networking and data communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus.
Provide project management support for budgets, scheduling, and task delegation.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
10+ years of experience in industrial automation or process controls engineering.
Expertise with PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA programming and system integration.
Hands-on experience with control panel design, power distribution (under 480VAC), and field troubleshooting.
Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Power BI, or Grafana.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience
Familiarity with Emerson DeltaV or similar DCS platforms.
Experience in industries such as Semiconductor, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, or Mining.
Ability to lead teams, review system architecture, and enforce design standards.
